Meet Cole Williams

Founder of Vessel Financial Planning

Nearly a decade helping families and professionals build plans that actually reflect their lives, not just their investments.

I left a career with one of the country's largest financial firms to build something specifically designed for people in their 30s and 40s, a stage of life where income is growing, family is expanding, and financial decisions are getting more complex by the year.

Who I work with:

  • Professionals and young families with household incomes above $150K
  • Employees with equity comp (RSUs, stock options, or deferred comp) who want clarity on what to do with it
  • People who feel like their finances are slowly getting away from them and want a true partner, not just a portfolio manager
  • DIY planners who want a second set of expert eyes before moving forward on their own

Two ways to work together:

  • Journey — Ongoing financial partnership with proactive guidance, regular check-ins, and a plan that grows with your life
  • Starting Point — Three focused sessions to review your situation, clarify your goals, and deliver a financial plan you can act on right away

What makes Vessel different:

  • Fee-only and fiduciary — no commissions, ever
  • Trained in both financial planning and life coaching, so the plan reflects what you want
  • Proactive by design — you'll hear from me before you think to reach out

Cole Williams
Williams Family

I'm a husband and dad, which means I'm living the same season of life as many of my clients. My wife, Jo, and I are in the thick of it: growing careers, raising a young daughter, and navigating through all the decisions that come with building a life together.

That's not a coincidence. I built Vessel specifically for this chapter because I know firsthand how fast priorities shift, how quickly financial complexity compounds, and how much it matters to have a plan that keeps up with life.

Outside the office, I'm a lifelong DFW kid who has never lived outside of the Lone Star State. I grew up playing drums, still sing at church on occasion, and have a probably-too-consistent nightly habit involving chocolate peanut butter ice cream. Since I'm already telling on myself, I enjoy blaring music with the windows down more than a financial planner probably should. Rooting for the Cowboys and Aggies has made me exceptionally good at managing expectations which, coincidentally, is also key in financial planning.
